COVID-19 Strategic Response Fund grants awarded
In its latest round of funding, the Delaware COVID-19 Strategic Response Fund’s Community Needs Grants program at the Delaware Community Foundation has awarded $210,000 to 21 nonprofit organizations providing services to communities throughout the state.
These general operating grants, each in the amount of $10,000, will allow organizations to use funds as needed to continue to operate in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Grantees are Be Ready Community Development Corporation; Caring Hearts Helping Hands Inc.; Central Baptist CDC; Clothing Our Kids; Code Purple; Contact Lifeline Inc.; Delaware Children’s Theatre; Delaware Zoological Society; Delmarva Clergy United in Social Action Foundation; Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware; ITN Southern Delaware Inc.; Leading Youth Through Empowerment; Literacy Delaware; Milton Community Food Pantry; Nanticoke Indian Association Inc.; Paws for People; Read Aloud Delaware; Rehoboth Beach Historical Society; Sussex Community Crisis Housing Services Inc., The Precision Institute; and Wilmington Children’s Chorus.
Launched in March 2020, the fund has awarded $3.6 million to more than 150 Delaware nonprofits thus far. The next round of Community Needs Grants will be announced soon.
